Long Beach: Glass Half Full
at the Beach Party

It's all about perspective.  After finishing 15th/30 in the ChampCar Atlantic race in Long Beach California, Adrien feels the glass was undeniably half full.  It was a good weekend for the Paladin Motorsports team as despite the challenging circuit, the car ran lap times that put it as high as 12th against the more experienced and ultra-competitive field.  The qualifying turned out to be a let down, as despite having more speed in him, Adrien had difficulty putting his best lap together due to traffic and red flags.

The race started with a awesome tone, as Adrien passed 5 cars right off the line moving him from 20th->15th.  After a few more hard laps of racing, however, Adrien was bumped by another car and the rear suspension was bent.  At this point, Adrien knew he just had to bring the #45 Paladin Motorsports car home as it was handling poorly due to the damage.  Herberts dropped from 13th to finish 15th, but felt very pleased with the performance.  "It was a good race for us, because you can't help having a banged up car.  I just drove it as hard as I could, and feel that without the damage we easily would have been top 10."

Now, looking onward towards Houston, Adrien hopes to fill the glass from half, to full, and continue the strong charge towards the front of the field.
