| Portland Race 4 and 5 |
Portland Proves to Payout After watch seemed like a bizarre start to the weekend, the races turned out to be a positive for Adrien as he finished high in the points in both races; 13th, and 14th. In qualifying Herberts discovered that by strange means, his toe-arm was slightly bent throwing off the carefully calculated setup prepared by Adrien's engineer, Juan Carlos of Paladin Motorsports. In yet another, freakish ordeal, the right rear wheel dislodged as Adrien entered turn 11 of the Portland road course.
A plagued qualifying had Adrien starting 23rd for both races, but he would go on to move up the most positions of any driver for both races. Saturdays race was wet and wild, as the skies opened up just before the early time scheduled for round 4. Adrien, known to be masterful in the rain, quickly moved his car up to 8th with smart and clean driving, until slipping off track and dropping back to 13th. In Sundays race, which was not wet, Adrien moved up quickly again and had gotten up to an impressive 7th, until the bad luck that had terrorized the team earlier returned. A piece in the rear suspension unconnected, and Adrien's car became more and more erratic. He held on to finish 14th. Overall, Adrien turned in two good performances in both wet, and dry. |
