Mont-Tremblant Proves Challenging The weekend was going to be tough, but Adrien didnt make things any easier. Early on Friday practice, Adrien had a collision with the number 44 car of Matt Lee, the same car that was involved in the Cleveland incident. Although accidental, both cars were made to sit out of Friday qualifying to prevent a potential 'rivalry' brewing. Sadly, this meant in the loss of 1 hour of valuable track time which Team Paladin could have used to continue and develop the setup of the 45 car. "It sucks. The series is so competitive, that missing 10 minutes can cost you valuable information. We missed an hour." Adrien said.
The race however, was actually a positive indicator of the teams spirit and skill. Adrien, starting from the back because of missing qualifying, came up 6 spots to win the 'Hard Charger' award and finish 17th. The team gave Adrien a competitive car despite missing so much time to evaluate setups. "Even though I think we should be higher up, when you start at the back and miss as much time as we did, I think it was a successful weekend. Paladin Motorports really showed their professionalism by making this car as competitive as it was without the Friday Qualifying." The next race is Toronto, where Adrien hopes to build on the srong comeback performance of Mont-Tremblant. |
