Toronto: Weekend of Big Ups, and A Big Down

Coming after a tough but solid Mont-Tremblant weekend, Adrien expected big things of Toronto. A tight, challenging street circuit seemed perfectly suited to Adrien's style.  And, turns out, it was!  All weekend through the practice and qualifying, Paladin Motorports gave Adrien a well balanced car and they consistently were between 10th and 15th in the majority of practice and qualifying.  In qualifying, Adrien was 11th early on but after running out of fuel late, he dropped to 18th.

When the race started, it just began to sprinkle on the drivers visors.  In what was a cunning strategic move, Paladin Motorports pulled Adrien in for rain tires under yellow, a move that seemingly would give them a huge advantage over the other cars.  Sadly, as he was pulling out of the pits, the red flag flew and all the cars were allowed to return to the pits for rains.
"It was heartbreaking, because we really made an awesome strategic call, and should have been one of two cars on rains.  Normally under red, cars cant change to rains but they made an exception due to the extreme nature of the weather.  I suppose, we just got a bit unlucky."
As the race progressed, it quickly became a crash-fest as only 8/23 cars finished.  Adrien, was one of the unlucky 15.  A big wreck on the back straightaway left so much debris that Adrien could not avoid hitting it and another car, ending his day in 17th position.

"Im hugely dissapointed.  I feel we really deserved a better weekend than this as the team did a fantastic job with car setup, and we were having a smart race up to that point.  But, we were not the only ones who had a dissapointing day" said Adrien.

His next race is in Edmonton, a double-header event.
