HERBERTS WINS PRO DRIVER AWARD!

In the annual meeting of British Columbia's gear-heads and speed-demons, Adrien came with the expectations of handing of the Pro Driver award, which he won in 2006, to the rightful successor.  What he didn't know, and was kept secret from him from his parents and coach, was that the award would be his again in 2007.  The Roy Shadbolt Pro Driver award is given the driver that has the most success in professional racing from British Columbia.  After a season in the ChampCar Atlantic series, the second highest level of open-wheel racing in North America, Adrien was given the honour of receiving this prestigious award.
"What makes this award so special, is that it isn't a normal trophy.  This isn't for first place, second place, or third place.  This award signifies something unmeasurable; the support of all the members of the SCCBC.  Racing has its ups and downs...but when you know that through your downs people at home are cheering for you, that support is priceless." Adrien said in his acceptance speech.
The award itself is steeped in history, and Adrien is certainly part of it.  Famous Maple Ridge race Greg Moore won the award twice, as has Adrien, who know trails Frank Allers (5) for the most wins of the cup.  "Its an honour.  And you know, one day when I'm not racing, I can be really proud of having my name alongside Greg Moore, Frank Allers, and Ross Bentley."
